间接引语：又叫间接引述（indirect statement/reported speech）。只用在表述意见的动词  之后的一种从句，这种从句并非由主语直接叙述出来，而是通过第三人转述的。实际上间接引语大都是宾语从句，当直接引语为祈使句，陈述句，疑问句被转换成间接引语时，句子的结构，人称，时态，时间，时间状语和地点状语等都要发生改变。间接引语其实就是我们所说的第三人称转述。

那么， 我们如何将直接引语转化为间接引语呢？

1、套句型

①陈述句

⑴主语+said+that从句

⑵主语+told sb.+that从句

eg.1 ‘It’s a good day today,’she said.

         She said (that) it was a good day that day.

     2 ‘Jiang Chen is handsome,’she told him.

         She told him (that) Jiang Chen is handsome.

②一般疑问句/选择疑问句/反义疑问句

主语+asked (sb.)+if/whether从句（陈述句语序）

eg.1‘Have you finished your homework?’my mom asked me.

       My mom asked me if/whether I had finished my homework.（一般疑问句）

      2‘Is Jane a teacher or a doctor?’I asked Tom.

        I asked Tom if/whether Jane a teacher or a doctor.（选择疑问句）

      3‘Have you finished your homework or not?’my mom asked me.

        My mom asked me whether I had finished my homework or not.（选择疑问句）

        4‘Jiang Chen is handsome,isn’t he?’Amy asked.

         Amy asked if/whether Jiang Chen was handsome.

注意：

⑴翻译时应注意，此处if与whether翻译成“是否”；

⑵当选择疑问句后为“or not”时，此时的引导词只能用“whether”；

⑶反意疑问句在变为间接引语时，变化时去掉后面的“反问部分”。

③特殊疑问句

主语+asked (sb.)+原疑问词从句（陈述句语序）

eg.1‘What will you do tomorrow?’Tom asked.

      Tom asked what I would do tomorrow.

     2‘Who is your friend?’Li Lei asked.

       Li Lei asked who my friend was.

④祈使句

⑴asked sb. (not) to do sth.

⑵told sb. (not)  to do sth.

eg.1‘(Don’t)Open the door .’Han Meimei said.

        Han Meimei asked me(not)to open the door.

      2‘(Don’t)Close the window.’Mary said.

        Mary told me(not)to close the window.

注意：

在否定祈使句的间接引语中，not要加在不定式to do之前。   

⑤感叹句

⑴主语+said/told sb.+that从句（陈述句语序）

⑵主语+said/told sb.+原感叹句引导词从句（陈述句语序）

eg.1 ‘What a nice day it is!’she said/told me.

          She said /told me(that)it was a nice day.

      2‘What a nice day it is!’she said/told me.

          She said/told me (that) what a nice day it was.

在直接引语变间接引语中，时态通常要变成“过去范畴”的时态。
