楚国名将养由基是春秋时代著名射箭能手。一次,一个叫潘党

的人,说他能箭箭射中靶子的

红心。养由基对他说:“这算

不上本事，要是能在百步之外

射中杨柳叶子那还差不多。”

潘党不信，当即选定杨柳树上

的3片叶子,标上号，叫养由

基退到百步之外，按顺序射

去,结果箭箭按号射中叶心。

从此，人们称赞他的箭法是

“百发百中”。
